EUCLC 1/09 started on 16 Feb with 17 students from Sweden, Denmark, Romania and Finland. The future coordination and liaison officers were welcomed with crispy Finnish winter weather.
The purpose of the course is to prepare nationally trained officers and warrant officers for coordination, liaison and cooperation tasks in peace support operations and military operations other than war.
The course content is a mixture of lectures, case studies and practical exercises. After the course most of the students will serve as liaison officers or in liaison military teams abroad. The next EUCLC course will be conducted 12-23 October 2009.
