Integrated Crisis Management Course

1. Concept and Purpose of ICM
The aim of the course is to familiarize participants with the integrated approach of crisis management with specific regard to the interaction of civilian and military actors. The course is conducted in cooperation with Crisis Management Centre Finland (CMC Finland) within the framework of the Centre of Expertise in Comprehensive Crisis Management.

2. Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the course the student should:
-Understand integrated and comprehensive crisis management approaches.
-Be familiar with the priorities and working methods of different actors.
-Contribute to collaboration and coordination between different actors aiming for better information sharing.
-Be familiar with how conflicts affect the local population

3. Student Criteria
To be eligible to attend ICM, nominees must fulfil the following criteria:
-Civilian or military experts, such as Political Advisors, Development Advisors, Police Advisors, Heads and Deputy Heads of Offices, Executive Directors with experience of crisis management and peace building missions.
-Currently working in a crisis area or prospective participants in future missions.
-Language proficiency: good comprehension of English.
