Future United Nations Military Observers in Niinisalo

After one week in Tuusula, the students of the 100th United Nations Military Observer Course are now training in Niinisalo in the practical exercise phase of the course. The students have been deployed to a life-like observer mission area that has been created in the Artillery Brigade’s field exercise area. During the two exercise weeks the students will learn and practice the skills needed by a military observer.

Several units of the Finnish Defence Forces support FINCENT in creating the mission area. Officers and conscripts from e.g. the Artillery Brigade, Pori Brigade, Armoured Brigade, Utti Jaeger Regiment and Satakunta Air Command are involved in the exercise as target personnel, drivers, instructors as well as functioning in several other positions.
